there is this huge maturity in sal like no other he cant even find himself in america anymore its like he needs to go overseas to see what he can find what he is looking for there. The whole concept of longing is very sad like how dean cant settle and how sal is "sad" all the time now. in these past chapters Kerouac makes sal's narration sentences very long like "long"ing. but time is confusing me its like sal wants to slow down his emotions and motion but he is still moving fast
does anyone get that? i wish i could word it better. also jazz was mentioned alot and when i think about jazz and youth they are basically the same its an ongoing beat that will change rythms from time to time until the song finally ends and jazz can bee really fast and loud to smooth and traquil or a mixture of the two. why is dean saying yes yes yes all the time? does that really mean anything? because he says it alot.
