I saw the “hot topic” today was to post about the question Ms. Siegel proposed does the book represent the American youth accurately. The American youth is a very broad topic. As of now I have not read both the comments up so far fully, but I believe it does to a certain extent. Yes as kids we do want to have fun and do a lot of crazy things. But now and days especially in a town like ours how many of us actually experience something like that. Many of us are just living right now for school and getting ready to go to college weather it be failure or a successes. We cannot really run. But we can not just concentrate on our town as a country we do have some similarities. This has been like this always even from the earliest incunabulum kids have always tried to be rebels and get out of hand. Even so the whole thing is not 100 percent accurate but what is. So as a whole I think it does and it doesn’t. Also I do believe it diminishes the American youth to a lower level because this gives the image of the average kid on drugs always running and rebelling when in fact not everyone is like that.
