My thoughts so far...

I really enjoy this book so far. It's very different from everything else we have read, as pretty much everyone else has already mentioned. I definitely see how he could be on a drug high, and truly believe he was. There are a lot of characters thrown at you at first, and I kept getting confused with them, but after a while I got them straight and then there was a whole new set of characters. It's sort of unsettling how fast moving the book is, and it's a bit annoying to me, but otherwise I like it. It sort of reminds me of Catcher in the Rye. I don't really know why, something about it is just so similar, and I read that book a long time ago so it's kind of strange that I would think of that. But I do look forward to reading more and, from the way the book is going, meeting many more characters.
